KD Player is a free J2ME based audio player created by Russiandeveloper Knyzhov Dmitry. It is designed for mobile phones running Operating System Embedded platforms. The program can playback audio files that are supported by the phone model, most commonly mp3 and wav files which the program fully supports. KD Player can be downloaded depending on screen display resolutions that your mobile phone would support. The software was developed with the idea of replacing the standard media player found on many modern phone’s as described in the author’s description. Playback options include Play, Volume Control, Fast Forward, Rewind, Shuffle and two Repeat modes (playlist repeat and single track repeat). In addition KD Player supports full reading of ID3-tag data and the sorting of tracks by album, artist or track title. The user can specify which folders on your mobile phone to scan which includes scanning the phone’s in built memory or memory card. KD player stores the scanned folders in a music library from which the user can read and create playlists and similarly create bookmarks to audio files. Unlike the Walkman player found on specific Sony Ericsson phone models, within KD Player the user must manually update the music library after changes to the list of audio files on the phone have been made, such as newly added or removed audio tracks. KD Player also supports reading of album art from a folder or a files embedded art and supports the changing of the player’s visual look by the use of skins.
The skins for KD Player have shown that the album art can be made bigger depending on the skin’s layout.

KD Player is a music player for mobile phones that supports all audio formats. The program can easily replace your standard player, and is constantly updated with new skins.

In addition to the standard playback functions (Play, volume, rewinding, mixing repeat) the program has the following features:

1. First, make some general tests using your contacts and messaging apps. Scroll, creat new, search by letter, insert, etc. Remember the speed of it!
2. Install pips_uiq_1_2_ss.sis
3. Install stdioserver_uiq_1_0.sis
4. Reboot. If necessary, reboot again.
5. Now…repeat the tests you made in 1
6. Watch how both contacts and messaging, the weak links of UIQ3 devices, are now working faster!

Tested on p990i works in opening rar files.. java format could be a lil annoying while opening the file as it asks for permission before doing anything. But helpful for apps which do not need signing n could be downloaded straight from the net installed ryte away or with opening rar file docs..
