While a mobile user is traveling on the road, it would be impossible for him to operate the mobile device with both hands. Which means a typical Pocket PC software keyboard which requires both hands to operate would be very inconvenient for user to use.

Imagine, when you are walking on the street, and want to sent a SMS, but you are holding a briefcase. Is it possible to draw the stylus and tap on the Pocket PC software keyboard?

M8 input is therefore designed to improve the problem. Now with M8 input, users would be able to type English and Chinese words with single hand. This overcomes the limitation of Pocket PC software keyboard which is not easy to operate with single hand. * simple favorites management. Sliding a contact from left to right brings a plus sign. It’s a little tricky at first, but i got used to it. Tapping on the plus sign tags a contact as favorite. If the contact is already favorite, you can unfavorite it (does that word exist?
Pushing “Right” on the D-pad brings the favorites window. Pushing “Left” brings “all contacts” window.
* “mobile” and “work” numbers have “sms” option. Tapping it will bring new sms window.
* “email” option works if you have configured email account, and have it entered in iContact settings file.
* D-pad navigation is fully supported in contact details. Left key brings you back to contact list, while Right key brings you “new sms dialog” if currently selected number has sms option.
* settings.ini file has been added. It must reside in the same directory as iContact.exe. You can setup your email account in there and you can also setup strings used throughout the app (”mobile”, “sms”, “ABC” etc …)

LG Today Screen

I didn’t see this anywhere here. LG uses this today screen application on all
of their WM phones and I have been using it on my Atom Life and love it.
You can use it with DCNOBAR to remove the bottom menu bar or you can use it with the menu bar. Also, you can install the spacer app if you want.
It works on WM6 phones I know, don’t know about WM5 phones.
It creates a menu bar for phones, messages, and applications.
Once it is open, it creates a side bar for all your applications. I am using this
over HTC Plug In, as I like it batter.

If WiFi is not working on your device then you can try this:
Go to key in registy “HKLM\Software\Drivers\WLAN” and copy the value from ‘AdapterName” string.
Now go to key in registry “HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager\WLAN” and edit “DeviceName” string.
You see there value like this: “{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006}\TNETW12511″.
Delete the last part of this value (”TNETW12511″) and past the value “AdapterName” which you copy at end.
Soft reset and that is all.
Now Wifi button on your device should work properly.

You can replace turning power off/on manually with switching flight mode on/off automatically by Autoflight when you sleep and any other case such as going to theater, lesson, airline, and so on.
