TankWatch v1.1

TankWatch is a simple Python for S60 script that will detect when the phone goes off and on charger. If the phone is plugged into the same power supply as your fish tank, it can warn of power failures. You can also SMS the tankwatch phone from another phone and it will take a picture using the phone’s camera and MMS the photo back.

Follow the instructions below (Note, instructions NOT tested yet, apologies.):

Install all .py or .pyd files as libraries by clicking on them in the phone’s file explorer. All EXCEPT TankWatchXXX.py, that is. Install TankWatchXXX.py as a Python Script by clicking on it and selecting Install As Python Script
You should be able to run it and test it by launching Python on the phone and then running the script. Note that during testing you can enter your own phone number as the phone number to SMS/MMS. Also note that this may lead to problems with the phone repeatedly MMSing itself on receipt of its own MMS (I haven’t tested this, but watch out for it).
