3D Pool:
By Dist. Developments

Pool - whether you like it or not, has been around for ages. A game that requires patience; you either love it or hate it. Not for people of the latter, Distinctive Developments and Digital Bridges have come together to make the first 3D game of Pool for the mobile phone. A fine effort, it includes the best aspects of the with the easiness and simplicity of a mobile game (all whilst showing it in gorgeous 3D!).

Pool, or billiards, is a game which involves two players (or teams), each trying to sink all their balls into one of six holes. The game is relatively simple, but basically if you haven’t played it before this game isn’t for you. Four modes of play are included and these are Single player, Two player, Trick shot and Practice. Pretty self explanatory, trick shot is a mode where players can practice by performing tasks, or ‘tricks’.

The main draw of the game is the graphics. Presented in 3 sweet dimensions, the game seems more like real pool than ever. Not only is it good to look at, but this also helps when trying to decide which angle to hit the ball at, compared to 2D pool games. The views of the table also changes, giving different insights into the game. It definitely makes pool a whole lot more interesting!

The actual way the game plays is also done very well, I found the physics of the balls and the way they move to be very accurate. However, for novices there is a steep learning curve, as there are no hints or help of any kind provided. The fact that your opponents in the game are almost insanely difficult doesn’t help, but once you get the feel of the game things get a little easier. between two people is quite fun, providing that you can be bothered passing your mobile back and forth (Bluetooth and infrared support are both absent.)

360 Fighting Falcon:
By LunaGames

The 360° (degrees) rotating fighter pilot experience hits your mobile phone with Lunagames latest creation 360 Fighting Falcon.

The game puts you in the seat of an F-16 fighter pilot of the new elite squadron ready to strike at any time. The game combines fast fighter pilot with the real weapons and targeting systems. Furthermore the Campaign mode adds to the full fighter pilot experience with a wide range of missions with pre-flight Briefings and weapon selection.

The game has been developed based on the groundbreaking Buzzard 360° RE rotation engine of Breakpoint. Dennis Medema (Head of Game Design) at Lunagames explains: The Breakpoint Buzzard 360° RE engine enabled us to focus on the unique game play straight from the start.
