DEdit by Juriy Bakunin aka JBAK, is a wonderful and rich text editor for the Symbian S60 2nd and 3rd edition. The program aimed at creating and editing simple text, and is a good tool for developers.

Lets you have multiple editing windows with several files at the same time, includes a history of files, search and replace functions, selecting text of various types, advanced functions and bookmarks. The texts can be saved with almost any type of character encoding, we can highlight the line in which we are editing and configure the appearance and colors of the editor. A little jewel of just 80 Kb, is fulfilling its role to perfection.
In first, this is first true multitasked application on Symbian. With DEdit you can edit multiple files and move between windows with menu button.
Some other features:
DEdit hotkeys - are combinations of two keys. First, press key with green tube (”Call” or “Dial”), release it, and then press second key. For example, menu item Search has label [g7]. For run search you must press and release “Green” key, and then quick press key 7.
