JotYou is a free service that lets you schedule and send SMS text messages and reminders to family, friends & other people based on their GPS or WiFi position such that the messages get delivered to them only when they are in the selected location during the specified time. If they don’t get there within the specified time frame, the messages are never delivered. The JotYou mobile application supports both GPS and WiFi-WLAN positioning for Nokia S60, Windows Mobile, Sony Ericsson J2ME, Blackberry or any other MIDP 2.0 capable mobile phones depending on the model and related hardware modules.

Key features of JotYou include:

+ Messages are only delivered when the recipients are in the specified area.
+ You can select the target from a Google Map by using the city, state or zip code of the destination
+ Messages can be sent to groups and indiviual users.
+ Option to specify message delivery time frame. If the recipient reaches the target area outside specified time-frame your message won’t be delivered.
+ Store and manage messages in an online account
+ Set up tracking groups for events (i.e. races, marathons, jogging, etc) and track people as they move from one place to another.

Here is an overview on how to use JotYou:

1) You will first need to install the JotYou mobile application for Nokia, Windows Mobile, Blackberry or any other Java J2ME mobile device
2) Send a message and specify a delivery time and target location.
3) When recipient(s) arrives at a specified location JotYou sends them your SMS text message.
