Tubelet

What is Tubelet?

Tubelet is a program for mobile phones that can help you plan a journey on The Tube and Docklands Light Railway. Tubelet does not need a mobile network to find the routes so it will work underground as well. The name comes from mixing tube with midlet.

You can see Tubelet in on my Tubelet Google Maps page which uses the Tubelet engine to plot rutes on a Google Map. Thanks to my employer Fotango Ltd. for letting me put this together during a hack-day at work, and to Jonathan Stott for the idea (and grid points).

Will it work on my phone?

There are lots of phones out there and I’ve only been able to test it on some of them. If your phone has a colour screen and supports games there’s a good chance Tubelet will work just fine. It’s free so why not just give it a try!
