A for 3rd edition phones

pys60dict is a for dictionaries in ‘dictd’ format written in Python. Files in this format a are e.g. available from hxxp://freedict.org, WordNet, Jargon and lots of other places.

The program can handle large dictionaries (e.g. WordNet, > 150.000 index entries, 8.5 MB compressed data, > 27MB uncompressed) quite well and quite fast, because it’s use of the ‘dictzip’ library and binary compiled indices.

REQUIREMENTS

* A device running 3rd edition.
* For this program to work, you need to have Python for , v1.4.0 or higher, installed on your phone. You may get it from SourceForge. If you’re new to Python on it’s probably better to read the PyS60 Wiki first.
