Broadband users, for a long time, have taken for granted the ability to listen to radio stations from around the world over the internet. There are a number of standards that can be used – RealAudio, Windows Media and MP3 Streaming. Currently, Nokia Radio supports MP3 AAC+ streams and hopefully the others are on the way. This means that not all the radio stations online around the world are available. Strange they dont have RealAudio codecs embeded since all Nokias have Real Player, but that may come in the future.

What makes this a great application? Ease of use, a huge list of radio stations ready to go. You can search by country, popularaty or by genre. once you find a station you just click and wait untill it starts. If you find a station that you like, you can just save it to your favorit list

The rest of the interface stays as close as possible to the existing Music Player. It looks like it, with the central selection button for play and pause, the volume control on the side buttons, and the directory even feels very like the podcast directory. In other words, it is a consistent interface across the S60 music applications and that’s important as these devices reach the mass market.

One great touch is that you can choose the quality of the stream you want to listen to. So weather you are on WiFi or GPRS os something in between you can chose the quality of the stream. Another great feature is that if you can not find a radio station that you like within the program. dont worry, you can go direct to Shoutcast´s side and find whatever stream you want and click on listen and the program starts up and streams away without and further action. When you exit the stream it also asks if you want to add it to favorit to convenietly find the stream again. Must use Nokias inbult web browser to do this though, i tried it with Opera and it didnt work, but something is better than nothing. now i can listen to tormented radio everywhere
