PhoneLock brings extra security to the phone by enabling remote locking of the phone via SMS messages. Once locked the phone can be unlocked only with the phones unlock code. PhoneLock provides the sender of the SMS with location information of the phone. Notification messages can be sent to be displayed while the phone is locked.

One example use of PhoneLock is when a phone is lost, in this case sensitive information in the phone can be protected, and the finder can be informed about the owner of the phone. PhoneLock can be combined with a Bluetooth based GPS devices, allowing even more accurate locating of the phone.
