NET MONITOR is nokia engineering menu known from older monochrome nokias time (5110,3210 etc.) there is some different in comparison with this one (UMTS functions extend, GPRS counters, etc) but all basic function is still the same.

There are no standards, on older monochrome nokias (DCT3) Net Monitor is built in but hidden and can be activated through additional soft, on DCT4 nokias its come only one with special engineering version of firmware which has built in Net Monitor Menu.

However on Symbian OS Phones Net Monitor is just a third party application which can be installed like any other application, after installation and running it shows different information, information like is usually hidden network parameters, phone status, errors, etc.
